Ladies it is time for another night out!  This time I have partnered up with Monarch for a great night away from the kids.  Monarch is a great consignment store on East Blvd. that carries only top designers.  They have jeans, dresses, shoes, and jewelry and everything is high-end at a fraction of the cost.  The store is designed with women in mind with comfy chairs, girly decor, and two owners that will quickly become your new best friends.  Stephanie and Cindy are opening their doors on April 27th from 6-8pm and they have invited another great addition to the night.  Jeffre Scott of Jeffre Scott Apothecary will be in the store doing mini "lip-overs".  That includes a great cleanse and the opportunity to try out some of spring's hottest shades.  Next door at Revovle (men's high-end consignment), Jeffre will be doing a cologne bar at which you can smell some of his new men's fragrances.  Definitely a great time to find some things for Father's Day!

This Thursday!

Welcome back from the weekend!  I survived mine and am back to reality today.  I spent a weekend in a beach house with about 16 girls and celebrated with my friend and soon-to-be-bride.  As we get older trips like this become nicer than the ones 10 years ago.  Everyone has a job, some have husbands, some even have families at this point so accommodations are better and our plans are more organized.  Its nice to know that everyone will clean up after themselves and pitch in to cook some meals.  But one thing remains the same when I take a girls trip...there is always a lot of talking and laughing.  I know most men would be blown away if they could sit in on one of these weekends at the amount of talking that goes on.  Somehow women always end up sitting around in one room, talking for hours on end.  It was perfect and just the kind of female bonding that I needed.  The perfect little escape from thinking about taking care of other people and a break in the routine.  Females need that break and moms do especially!  


I hope that a lot of you will give yourself a mini-break this Thursday night with us at Encore Bistro!  If you are debating about coming because you don't know anyone please join us!  My husband has learned over the years that if we go out I will most likely spend most of the night flitting around from person to person and somehow always end up talking to complete strangers.  So rest assured that I will be talking to you even if you know no one else!  If you are feeling any kind of mom guilt remember that you are a better mom when you can get away from time to time to recharge and what better way to do that than to relax with other females!  And if you are feeling some wife guilt you are in luck.  Today just happens to be Valentine's Day so you have the perfect opportunity to woo your husband...tell him how great he is, fix him his favorite dinner or order in, and offer to give him a back rub.  Make sure to whisper in his ear as you do: "Dooooon't wooooork laaaaaate Thursday...because I am going ouuuuutttt."  Hope to see you there!

MOMSIE's NIGHT OUT

Get excited my friends...I have the perfect excuse to get you out of the house for an evening!  I am so excited to announce the first ever MOMSIE event.  Since starting this blog I knew that I would want to plan events so that I can see you all in real life.  Its great to "talk" to you through the computer screen but nothing beats hanging out with a glass of wine and discussing those oh so important things, i.e. how your kids are driving you crazy, losing the baby weight, The Real Housewives (of any city), the wedges you need for Spring, etc. etc. etc.


For our first night out we are going to head over to Encore Bistro in Blakeney.  We will be there starting at 7:00 and you can drop in at any time.  We will start out in the bar area with some appetizers and drinks from the bar and then whoever is interested can plan to stay for dinner.  It will be a casual event and just a chance for us to get together, meet some new people, and do what we do best!


I couldn't resist throwing in a little shopping while we are there so I have invited Laurie Harper who you have read about here.  She will have some great things from Thirty-One Gifts set up so you can browse at your leisure.  No obligation to buy a thing but it will be there for those of you who are interested.  She does have some great new stuff in for the Spring season so if you want to get a sneak peek check out this site.


Momsie will provide the appetizers but everyone is responsible for their own dinner and drink tabs.  Well drinks will be half-off!  If you are planning to come please do respond to the event I have set up on our Facebook page so that I can give the restaurant a rough estimate.  Come by yourself or bring a friend!  I hope to see lots of you there!
