Consider Consigning...

One of the best ways to get the most of your money is to consider consignment.  Consigning has become the way to get the most our of your belongings.  Of course there are times to pay it forward and donate items to Goodwill or other charities but sometimes we need to recycle our dollars to get through the expenses of raising children.  Charlotte has several great consignment stores that will pay you for everything from your couch to your child's old shoes.

 

If you want to consign...
Kids clothes, toys, and maternity clothes:
Kid to Kid: Park Rd. and Arboretum
Hours:  M-F 10-7, Sat 10-6, Sun 1-5 (both locations)
Additional sales/deals: 

• Become a fan on Facebook and you can save an additional 15%.  
• Save 25-50% on Fall and Winter items (some things as low as $1)

Requirements: 

• Clothes MUST be freshly laundered and either laid flatly or folded in a bin. We ask that outfits be kept together. Please no safety pins!
• Equipment and toys MUST have all the pieces, be clean, and be in good working condition. They MUST also meet current safety standards.

*I have been a buyer and a seller here and both sides were equally simple and rewarding.  I leave with either cash in my pocket or great "new" things for super cheap!

Your furniture, household items:
Recycle Boutique
Location: Park Rd. Shopping Center
Hours: M-S 10-6
Requirements:

• Email pictures to info@recycle-boutique.com or bring pictures to the store.
• Must be in like new condition.
• Dust the wood pieces and vacuum the upholstery.
• We do not sell brass/glass tables, baby furniture, bedding, drapes or dinnerware.
• 55% to the consignor / 90 day consignment period

*I forget this is a consignment store once I am inside because it seems like an upscale furniture boutique.  Luckily the prices remind me it is not!
