FYE (For Your Entertainment): 1/14/11

Today's FYE post goes right along with our attempts at getting organized this week.  I hope that you got a little excited this week about getting your house in order and these sites will help you carry the organizing bug into your weekend!  Enjoy...

How do I love IKEA?  Let me count the ways...

1.  I love their stuff.  And they have a lot of stuff.  Who couldn't love a store that sells beds, fabric, and cinnamon rolls all under one roof?!
2.  I love their prices.  It makes their stuff look even better.
3.  I love that I just found their IKEA Business site!!

At the business site you can find tips on organizing your home office (really works for any room in your house) and they have all kinds of cool resources!  One of my faves is the "Find Your Style" tab.  After picking your favorite fabric swatch, lamp, chair, etc. they label your style and link you to products that fit your taste.  I am "rustic modern," how about you?  Go HERE to find out!

ps.  How do I not love IKEA?  Let me count the ways...
1.  I HATE their carts!  How are you supposed to steer something when all 4 wheels go in different directions?!!

Spoonflower

Once you find your style at IKEA you are going to want to redecorate your whole house.  How cool would it be if you could have some custom-designed fabric in your new abode!  Lucky for us their are some creative geniuses in our home state!  I stumbled across this Durham-based company the other day and I am dying to try it.  Spoonflower is a website that helps you design your own fabric and then prints and ships it to you.  I played around on there the other day and the possibilities are endless!  If any of you create a fabric please share it with me!  I would love to see what you design.  Have fun!
