FREE Things to Do: 6/28-7/3....(air-conditioned activities!)

If you are looking for something new to do with your kids (it is almost July so surely you have worn out the usuals) check out Carolina Lanes in Matthews.  If you sign up for their emails you can get weekly coupons.  Your child could bowl for FREE all summer and you can enjoy the AC!

Bessie the talking cow offers a lighthearted look back at Billy Graham's life on a dairy farm. Both the young and the young at heart will enjoy her fun quips, stories, and singing. Bessie offers instructions and tips for children before they begin their scavenger hunt through The Journey of Faith.

As children go through the Library they can use these question-and-answer cards to follow along on the tour. After the tour, they can bring the card to Ruth's Attic Bookstore to pick up a prize.

THE JOURNEY OF FAITH

There is an amazing history lesson for young people as they follow the life of Billy Graham from his childhood to adulthood. World events and leaders inpacted by Billy Graham are highlighted through films and interactive displays.

RUTH’S ATTIC BOOKSTORE

Books for children and young adults are available in the bookstore, along with stuffed animals, cool t-shirts, hats, jewelry, and gifts.

GRAHAM BROTHERS DAIRY BAR

Try out the Jr. Combo Meals, including PB&J or cheese sandwich with chips, cookie and a drink. A favorite is the Billy Frank hot dog with all the fixin’s! Top it off with a frosty milkshake or ice cream cone.


Carolinas Aviation Museum
Now is a great time to check out this museum not only because it is another indoor activity but because the Miracle on the Hudson plane is on display.  There are also all kinds of helicopters, planes, and gadgets to see.  The museum is located very close to the airport so kids will also get a chance to see and feel planes taking off!
